What you’ll need to make your own flocking powders

Powders can be used to create snow-flocked Christmas trees, Christmas wreaths and garlands, branches, and so on. It’s so much fun, that you may end up flocking every item in your home! 🙂

Kids will love making this easy and fun winter craft, which makes a lovely winter wonderland and snow-flocked holiday decorations.

  • White soap bars are our magical ingredient! Three or four oz of white soap can be purchased for less than a dollar each.
  • Additionally, you will need a cheese grater, a whisk, and a bowl to mix the fake snow.
  • Keep in mind that this recipe is most effective on branches and real trees. This mix of SnoFlock is much better to use for flocking artificial trees and fake branches since it contains stronger adhesives.

If you want a snowy-looking Christmas tree or something much flockier, you will need 5 to 10 soap bars per 5-foot tree.

You should select soap bars that have little or no fragrance. And to enhance the Christmas smell, you can also add a few drops of pine or fir essential oil, or oils with winter fragrances!

Whew! That’s just all you need to get started on your flocking journey. Breaking a bank isn’t an option, and so you don’t have to worry.
