The first step is to connect your pre-lit Christmas tree to an electrical outlet that is working.
Make sure each light is working correctly using a bulb tester. To test bulbs, gently remove them from their strands. An operating bulb will automatically light up when tested.
If a bulb does not work, replace it with your spare bulb or buy one from the store around you.
And if the new replacement lights do not work, try carefully twisting them from one end to the other.
How to replace lights on a prelit tree
If all of the lights in your string are not working properly, check the fuse at the end. You need to use a screwdriver or a butter knife to open the fuse cover. Then replace the damaged fuse after you must have pulled it out.
It is also a good idea to check the light strands, since the majority of light strands are numbered or outlined on top based on letters or numbers. For example, let’s imagine that A has a connection to C, which has a connection to B. Section B has a problem, and there are end plugs that need to be found to fix it. So, the unlit section B needs to be unplugged.
Afterward, you should wind the new lighting strand around the tree and wrap it. Where the light strand ends meet strand B, connect them to strand A. You can use this strand to light up your Christmas tree as if it weren’t lit.
Connect the bottom end of the new strand with the connection at the bottom of the tree or wall.
